WELCOME TO ALLIANCE!! Whether you are new to our area, or are just checking out our website for the first time, the owners and staff of the Alliance animal Clinic certainly wish to welcome you and hope that our city quickly feels like home to you. Whether you only have 1 or 2 pets or you’ve purchased a ranch and have lots of livestock we think you’ll find this area has a lot to offer. In anticipation of the fact that you may have brought four-legged family members with you we want to tell you a little about our veterinary clinic. The Alliance Animal Clinic provides veterinary services and products for animal owners—pets as well as livestock. Dr. Ray Brandt (since retired) founded the clinic in 1951 and the current location (903 Flack Avenue) was established in 1953. Dr. Richard Jaggers joined the practice 10 years later and he, too continues to live in Alliance since his retirement. The clinic currently has four veterinarians-- Dr. Robert Stout (1971), Dr. Clint Kesterson (1992), Dr. David Ylander (1999) and Dr. Calvin Tolstedt (2007). Our current staff members includes folks from a wide range of experiences and personalities—from high school apprentices researching careers in veterinary medicine to business and sales trained individuals to formally trained veterinary technicians. We take pride in our tradition of long term employees—we currently have three that have worked with us for over 11 years each. The owners and employees of AAC enjoy the opportunity to work for pet and livestock owners. This has enabled them to make lifelong friends while working with animals whose health and welfare are so very important to us all. Our animal clinic has a complete facility offering routine preventive health care, surgery, and emergency and after hour’s coverage, boarding, and animal health care products including the Science Diet line of pet foods. Believing that there is life after work, and believing that your community is what you make it, the AAC staff has been involved with many civic and community activities including the executive boards of the Chamber of Commerce, City Schools and County Hospital boards. Alliance Animal Clinic staff and employees have also been active with such organizations as Jaycees, Panhandle Men’s Golf Club, Alliance Arts Council, United Way, Carnegie Arts Center, Box Butte Kennel Club, Park Board, Softball Association, Saddle Club, Abate, Churches, and many youth activities such as 4-H, youth baseball, Boy Scouts, wrestling, tennis, and basketball. We encourage you to take part in the many activities that our community has to offer.. Check out the Alliance Chamber of Commerce
